Fused Glass Bluebell Woods Curve Scene - This process begins with me sieving on powdered glass to create the background colours onto a clear glass base (also cut by hand), it then goes into the kiln to set as a first firing. This then continues with me painting on fine detail by hand using a needle point nib, and special liquid glass. Then lots of tiny granules of glass is applied called ‘Frit’, using tiny spoons (and a lot of patience!) to create the leaves and flowers, it is then fused for a second time in the kiln. Finally the piece is placed on a curved mould and put into the kiln for its final firing which enables the glass to slump over this mould to form the curved shape.
Note: No two pieces will be exactly the same due to these being handmade (colours will vary slightly too); they are all unique, and made with love.
Size approx. 17.5cm approx. wide (curved) by 11cm approx. high
