Fused Glass Reindeer Dish - Each one handmade by cutting out a square of white opal glass. The white opal square of glass then has fine detail painted on using a tiny metal nib and special liquid glass. Separately, different colours of glass are cut into tiny squares and put into a kiln at a very high temperature to contract into tiny balls (to become the baubles for the reindeer’s antlers and nose!). Once cooled down I then carefully add them to the base glass and then put them in the kiln to fuse together. Lastly the glasswork is transferred onto a special shaped mould, and put in the kiln to slump into, which then transforms the flat glass into a small dish.
Note: No two dishes are the same due to these being handmade, and therefore are unique.
Size: When flat, 9.5 cm by 9.5 cm, so just a bit shorter, due to the sides moving upwards to form the dish.
