Fused Glass ‘Fab’ Hanger - made by individually cutting up pieces of glass, shaping them and adding them to a hand cut base of clear glass, fused for the first time, then once out, adding cut up tiny pieces of stringer glass (very thin cylindrical strips of glass) for the ‘sprinkles’ onto the top glass shape, and also tiny bits of coloured frit (crushed granules of glass) added to the background. Lastly painting on lettering, using liquid glass with a fine metal nib and putting the whole piece into the kiln for a final firing to fuse everything together.
Size approx: 10cm by 8cm
Note: No two pieces will be exactly the same, due to them being handmade.
